Pair this as they would in the Southern Rhone: with seared Fish, Braised Pork, or soft Goat's Cheese. Make note of the Braille label, a Chapoutier standard due to a blind family member.

Domaine du Durban 

Vin de Pays du Vaucluse 2008

A beautifully structured wine, especially for the price. Dark, briary fruit, with black pepper spice. Tannins are smooth and present, not overpowering. 

This exemplary Vaucluse wine is assembled by importer Kermit Lynch using fruit from Domaine Durban. Renowned for their Muscat Beaumes de Venice, Durban didn't export their red wines until this decade.
