May 23rd Famers' Market Menu

The outlying areas of Baltimore will get all sorts of odd weather, including the frosts that happened last week. Consequently it is always difficult to know exactly what you will find at the Farmers' Market on a given day. Last week Asparagus was scarce, this week, Kohlrabi comes into its own. All part of the challenge that our Chef excels at. This week is no exception with another fun example of just what Maryland has to offer:

Red Oak Leaf Lettuce Salad
Kohlrabi, Lemon Vinaigrette and Strawberries

second:

Gunpowder Bison Tri-Tip Steak
Sauteed Swiss Chard, Red Wine Butter

third:

Balsamic Strawberries
Buckwheat Honey, Brown Sugar Whipped Cream
